{"id":19,"date":"2017-10-31T02:16:23","date_gmt":"2017-10-31T02:16:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/parorangi.maori.nz\/hpc\/?page_id=19"},"modified":"2019-07-09T10:58:49","modified_gmt":"2019-07-08T22:58:49","slug":"about-us","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/parorangi.maori.nz\/hpc\/about-us\/","title":{"rendered":"About Us"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>BACKGROUND: <\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Hato P\u0101ora College has produced many fine students such as<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">skilled workers<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">professionals<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">fathers and grandfathers<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">leaders<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">who are making a positive contribution within their Wh\u0101nau, Hap\u016b, Iwi and Communities on a National and Global level.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>MOVING FORWARD: <\/strong>MO TAKU KURA NEI E!<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">In short, we can no longer take for granted and rely on others to sustain the future of Hato P\u0101ora College.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The survival and future of M\u0101ori Boarding Schools (MBS) are now under threat.
